Horticulture Day Celebrated at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola

Horticulture Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV), Akola. The program was organized by the Department of Horticulture of the university. Scientists, university officials, students, and a large number of farmers from nearby areas attended the event.
On this occasion, farmers were provided information about modern cultivation techniques of fruit crops, vegetables, flower crops, and medicinal and aromatic plants. Demonstration plots of different horticultural crops and a technology exhibition were arranged for the participants. A field visit was also organized for farmers where experts explained improved varieties, pest and disease management, and advanced production technologies.
During the program, scientists highlighted the importance of horticultural crops, market opportunities, and the need to adopt modern technologies to increase farmers’ income. Students also actively participated in the event by presenting crop demonstrations.
The organizers expressed confidence that such activities would help farmers learn about new horticultural technologies and contribute to increasing their income.
